Abstract


This study examines the effect of selection and talent management on employee performance at Jabal Ghafur University. This study has the same population and sample size, namely 59 due to the use of proportionate stratified random sampling technique and analyzed through SPSS with multiple linear regression techniques. The results of the research prove that selection has a partial influence on employee performance at Jabal Ghafur University. This means that when the selection process is carried out well, the employees who are accepted tend to have abilities that match the job demands, resulting in better performance. Furthermore, talent management also has a partial influence on employee performance at Jabal Ghafur University. This means that organizational efforts in managing, developing, and retaining talented employees can improve employee abilities, motivation, and work productivity. Then, selection and performance management have a simultaneous influence on employee performance at Jabal Ghafur University. This means that both variables together make a significant contribution to improving performance. In other words, employee performance is not only determined by a good recruitment process, but also by how the employee is managed and developed after being hired.
