Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Big Five personality dimensions (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism) in sustainability entrepreneurship among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Aceh Province. The population of this study consisted of all MSME actors registered in several regencies/cities in Aceh, with a research sample of 150 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with criteria including MSME actors who had operated their businesses for at least two years and had involvement in sustainable business practices. The data analysis method employed was multiple linear regression analysis using statistical software to examine the influence of each personality dimension on sustainability entrepreneurship. Prior to the analysis, the data were tested through validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results of the study indicate that the dimensions of openness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness have a positive and significant effect on sustainability entrepreneurship, suggesting that openness to new ideas, responsibility, and the ability to cooperate are important factors in encouraging sustainable entrepreneurial practices. Meanwhile, extraversion shows a positive but insignificant effect, and neuroticism has a negative effect on sustainability entrepreneurship. These findings indicate that emotional stability and proactive character are key factors in enhancing sustainability orientation among MSMEs in Aceh. This study is expected to contribute to the development of strategies for improving sustainable entrepreneurship capacity based on individual character traits
